Many of the microscopic images have undergone some post-processing to improve contrast and focal depth. This was mainly for aesthetic reasons and to try and do justice to the images I saw down the eye-piece. It is actually quite difficult to capture on a computer screen the clarity and vibrancy of the views you see down the microscope itself. A good reason to justify buying your own microscope ;)

 

Equipment used for microscopic images :

 Apex Scholar trinocular microscope

 Apex Minigrab eyepiece camera

 Canon A2200 compact camera

 

Post-processing :

 Serif PhotoPlus 7  (Cropping and general tidying up)

 Picolay  (Free image stacking software to increase focal depth)
